Two swans on the shore in front of the snow-capped Allgäu Alps

Holiday apartments at Lake Schwaltenweiher · Seeg, AllgäuYour front-row seat to the Alps!

Two holiday apartments in the honey village of Seeg — one right on Lake Schwaltenweiher, with our own restaurant on the shore. Welcome to one of the most beautiful corners of the Allgäu.

Arrive, breathe, be here.

Lake Schwaltenweiher is no ordinary lake. Emperor Maximilian I had it created in 1514 — first for fish farming and waterfowl hunting; today it is one of the loveliest small reservoirs in the Eastern Allgäu. 30 hectares of water, two small islands, a footpath around the shore and an Alpine panorama that has earned the region its nickname, the “front-row seat to the Alps”.

One of our apartments sits right on the shore (Lake and Mountain View, with the restaurant next door); the other is five minutes away in the honey village of Seeg — a health resort at around 850 metres with just under 3,000 inhabitants, one of Bavaria's most important Rococo churches and a lively beekeeping tradition.

Hiking, swimming, cycling, skiing or simply doing nothing: you'll find everything that makes a good holiday here. And nothing you don't need.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner — just a few steps away.

What makes our apartments truly special: you stay right next to our own restaurant — or just five minutes away at the Wiesenweg apartment. Restaurant Schwaltenweiher has been a popular meeting place in the Allgäu for years — and for our guests probably the most convenient half board in the region.

On the menu: hearty Allgäu cooking, regionally sourced, honestly prepared. In summer on the lakeside terrace, in winter in the cosy dining room. On Sundays a white-sausage breakfast with Allgäu beer, in the evening a glass of wine right by the water — no need to get in the car.

Breakfast is available for our apartment guests on request.
